The theme for 7th World One Health Congress is Integrating Science, Policy and Clinical Practice: A One Health Imperative Post COVID-19. To capture the multifaceted One Health paradigm, the Congress will bring together five distinct tracks:
One Health Science
Will review the latest basic science and epidemiology of health and disease at the human, animal, environment interface.
Pandemic Preparedness and Health Systems Resilience
Will explore how human and animal health systems are affected by and respond to emerging pathogens, including appropriate models of surveillance, detection, care and support for low and middle-income countries.
Policy, Environment and Biosecurity
Will bring together scientists and policy makers to discuss transdisciplinary cross-border efforts to operationalise One Health. This track will also explore environmental drivers of human and animal health and will articulate an agenda for enhanced global health security in a post-COVID-19 world.
Impact on and Innovations in Clinical Practice
Will explore how innovations can improve health outcome by improving accessibility, safety and affordability of clinical service delivery through frugal innovation and new models of care.
Will provide updates on the trends and drivers of AMR, as well as documentation of existing and future mitigation efforts to address this critical issue at the interface between humans, animals and the environment. Scientists and policymakers from countries across the spectrum of income levels will discuss how to refocus efforts to significantly reduce AMR across all One Health domains.
More information on the separate programme tracks will be released closer to date.
